Cesare Cassone - The Slaughter

Born in Castellaneta (TA), he lives and works in Bari.

A young, self-taught artist, he began painting in 1966, depicting the lights and colors of nature and the landscapes of his homeland (he continued to cultivate his passion for painting even as a Carabinieri officer in 1973), producing a series of works (in oil and chalk) until 1983. On leave in 2005, with the rank of General, he resumed painting. Since 2006, he has organized solo exhibitions and participated in group shows and other events, in Italy and abroad.

He has been reviewed by “La Repubblica”, “La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno”, “Il Quotidiano di Bari”, “Il Corriere dell'Arte”, the magazine “BOE'”, “Punto d'Incontro” and reported in the Annual Catalogues of “I Grandi Maestri” 2007 and “L'Elite New” 2008.
