Forbidden Song

The painting The Forbidden Song is a work of art by Maestro Michele Pratico created in 2021.
The canvas appears as if it were divided into two sections, for each of which the Artist creates two different figures as if they were two distinct works, but which complement each other in a Universal sense.
Looking at the left side of the canvas, "Figure 1," one can apparently see a member embraced by two opposing yet complementary figures, male and female, like a pair of lovers. This expresses duality, opposites that harmoniously complement each other.
The right side depicts a crowing rooster, with his body turned towards figure 1, but his head turned away to announce, but also as a symbol of warrior vigilance.
In this masterpiece, it is life itself that manifests itself, with everything in motion yet apparently stable.
Praticò's paintings, the fruit of a sometimes irreverent creativity, bring to attention the chromatic contrasts inherent in uncontaminated nature, which often escape the attention of most people due to the frenzy and pressure of time and money.
What the viewer is left with is an initial sense of bewilderment, faced with a seemingly elementary painting, but then a fascination sets in, the same fascination that can convey the ancient flavour of folk tales, which with their formal simplicity conceal profound contents that can only be detected by attentive and trained ears.
The artist Michele Praticò becomes the direct and ingenious intermediary in the narrative plot, transferring into his works the deepest meaning of the "Metaphors of the Real"
