Cactus I

The realistic image, painted in oil on canvas, of a cactus in the foreground is part of a series on this natural subject, which inspires interest in the different articulated structures in which it appears in reality.
It is precisely these structures that constitute a strong element of attraction, as their photographic-style representation, treated pictorially with the utmost attention to texture and light, makes them almost unreal, like orbital space stations, artificial outposts designed to house life in forms different from that of humans.
