BLANKET

The installation Blanket (2013) recalls simulated fabrics. The incisions of lace and embroidery create a silent, suspended theater, a crystallized, dancing flexion. The installation is a composition of methacrylate (Plexiglas) modules, finely hand-engraved, created according to the patchwork model by adding square elements.
While the focal point of his artistic practice is the working of methacrylates, based on the forging and engraving of transparent and opaque plastic sheets, his works suggest something secret, intimate, and at the same time precious. These are bonds. Kinship, blood, or chosen by elective affinities, the relationships Ambrosi speaks of correspond to that profound material that connects us emotionally with the world.
