Description of the work
Description of the work
Toni Bottegal, an artist from Lonigo, has been pursuing an intriguing abstract-informal pictorial exploration since 1999. His works are composed in a way that focuses on the painterly gesture, material consistency, and chromatic values. Bottegal's gestures, in particular, harness an almost uncontainable energy emanating from the pictorial supports. The intertwining brushstrokes give rise to an aesthetic of movement that, like an abstract-expressionist interpretation of Futurism, seems to evoke a celebration of the dynamism of contemporary life.
