Anna Cionini - Untitled

Anna Cionini was born in Poggibonsi on November 24, 1941, and currently lives and works in Rassina, Casentino, in the province of Arezzo. After studying classical studies, she soon discovered the expressive qualities of drawing and abandoned her studies to pursue this natural inclination. Initially, she worked for several years as an assistant designer in an advertising studio; but in her early twenties, she left her native town and traveled to various Italian cities, where she experienced diverse realities and cultures that enriched her cultural background. She began painting as a self-taught artist, but her interest in the figure led her to regularly attend the Libera Scuola del Nudo at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence in 1981 and 1982. Since 1970, she has participated in frequent and significant national and international exhibitions, as well as solo shows.
