Description of the work
Description of the work
Anna Sticco is a prominent artist who lives and works in Sovicille, Tuscany. Her career has been marked by a regular participation in national and international events and exhibitions. The female figure is central to her artistic research, and among her various subjects, she favors portraits of Maria Callas, for which she became famous. Anna Sticco's interpretation is strongly painterly, in which color plays a leading role. In her various portraits and genre scenes, one senses an intellectual tension, born of the existential vibrations expressed through dynamic brushstrokes. Warm colors predominate in a palette that seeks light within its own coherent tonal composition.
