Amalia Testa - The Sailing Ship

Amalia Testa is an artist who lives and works in San Severo, a painter, sculptor, and expert in glass art. In the latter field in particular, Amalia Testa is the creator of a highly interesting and original body of work based on the "Tiffany" technique. Her compositions are created using glass with a distinctive opalescence and joined together with lead. In this way, Amalia Testa's works acquire a certain 19th-century, Art Nouveau flavor. This can be seen in the refined color combinations and the elegance of her sinuous lines. In other works, also on glass, Amalia Testa also experiments with more sophisticated languages, tending toward abstraction and informality.
