COLLECTIVES AND MORE
1999 Yuvenal Center NY (USA); 2001 Kaas Gallery Insbruck (Austria); 2002 Church of San Zenone in Venice; 2002 Altofonte in Sicily 'Arts and Crafts in the Conca d'Oro'; 2003 Umanitaria Milano-Arte da Mangiare at the Milan Tourist Office. Alessandra Bisi has exhibited at important international fairs. Her works have been sold at various auctions, including the one in Paris in 2005.
In 2014, he donated a multi-panel work to the Cancer Institute on Via Venezia in Milan, which was permanently installed inside the radiotherapy bunker. This work adheres to and realizes the project of making hospital spaces colorful and artistic, in order to alleviate the feeling of being in a place of suffering. His research spans various techniques and modes of expression. His abstract paintings have found their way into private collections, including Renato Zero and Lucio Dalla.
Alessandra Bisi's interest in design, and in the application of her art to interior design, has found fulfillment in the commissioned creation of art for various spaces, such as the art for the Rubio's restaurant chain in California. Several collectors have requested paintings specifically designed and executed for their spaces. This year, Alessandra Bisi was also published in the Mondadori Modern Art Catalogue and is one of the artists at the Museo della Permanente in Milan.
In 2016, the artist held a solo exhibition at the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Cernusco sul Naviglio. He exhibited at the Executive Service spaces in Milan with another solo exhibition and traveled to Krakow for a three-artist group show at the Florianska Gallery.
" I compose my works as if I had to recreate the images of a new reality... a reality that has no counterpart in any representation. When I approach my work, I first make precise choices about the support and space in which I will create my composition. The research consists in finding the ideal space that a color should occupy on a surface and what kind of visual value it takes on in contrast or juxtaposition with another.
In my opinion, the shape of these fields within the surface must be as important as the spatial and chromatic relationships. This is a necessary objective for the composition to become a kind of autonomous sound, perceptible as a whole.
In nature, all elements are geometric, and I believe that even the signs that man and artist have traced for centuries are instinctive manifestations that have a vaguely or precisely geometric physical structure. I believe that abstract painting, in order to exist, must contain some structure given by form and color, to become a combination of infinite possibilities.
Over the centuries, the language of painting has given rise to both figurative and abstract masterpieces, while remaining true to its power and allure throughout its history.
I create my works with complete freedom of choice in techniques and materials.
I am also very interested in the surface of the materials or colors I use because through these I can still choose (premeditatively) what tone my colors will have.
My works often have titles that contain hints of reality or slightly romantic visions.
I'm keen to point out that my titles come to me after the work is "finished." These sometimes poetic or narrative words come to mind only because of the final visual perception the work takes on, in my opinion.
As an artist, I constantly pursue effectiveness in every series of works I create. The effectiveness of the autonomy of an abstract painting and the effectiveness of my message in a conceptual work. To achieve this primary objective throughout my production, I also use figurative art and other media such as video .
