Biography
Renato Giorgio, known as Rehn, is an artist who has made the exploration of matter and gesture the core of his creative research. Inspired by masters such as Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning, he has developed a personal language that values colour and matter as instruments of pure and direct expression. Between 2010 and 2013 he devoted himself intensively to Informal art, experimenting with unconventional materials such as fountain pen inks, newspaper fragments, wine, coffee, water and bitumen. These elements, often at odds with one another, come together in his works to create compositions that challenge the conventions of traditional harmony. For Giorgio, the tension between incompatible materials becomes a source of inspiration, transforming disorder into a vibrant and engaging form of art. In his works, colour follows no perspectival or realistic scheme but acts as pure energy, capable of communicating directly with the viewer. The instinctive, free gesture gives his creations a sense of movement and vitality.
