Biography
Giorgia Loparco is an artist who enjoys experimenting with a wide range of techniques: ink, watercolour, acrylic and oil. She is also accustomed to working on large-scale surfaces, such as murals.
Her works do not usually draw inspiration from other images or photographs; the creative process begins with colour, and the subject takes shape only afterwards. The artist favours bold colours, spirals and gilding, always playing with light.
Her works often depict the animal world, the plant world and female figures. She would like to study the anatomy of the human figure more and more. Giorgia loves to portray women, whom she considers complex and difficult to understand, but also because they allow her to enrich her works with additional elements, such as hair and accessories.
She regards her works as complete without a frame, because the artwork does not end, and it has no boundaries or restrictions.
A future project could be to create a work with a clay frame that reprises the motifs of the depicted composition.
