Biography
Franco Quercioli is an artist who has nurtured a passion for drawing since childhood. Despite a natural talent for art, his parents did not allow him to pursue artistic studies. Nevertheless, he managed to refine his technique in Florence, where he sought to further develop his skills.
Around the age of twenty, he began to devote himself to painting, receiving praise for his work. During that period, he also took part in a few exhibitions. However, for professional reasons, he temporarily interrupted his output. In parallel, he was a champion of spearfishing, demonstrating his versatility and his passion for nature.
After a break of several years, he resumed painting spontaneously, as if art had naturally returned to his life. Alongside painting, he took up photography, also creating a page to share his shots.
For him, art is a broad experience, a "jungle" where anything is possible. He enjoys painting en plein air, but he is equally capable of working from imagination, drawing inspiration from photographs and focusing on the human figure, which he considers beautiful and full of food for thought.
Franco Quercioli works exclusively in oil on panel, favouring a natural and spontaneous technique. He does not use acrylics, concentrating instead on the effect of oil, with a preference for paintings full of colour.
