Biography
Francesca Bausilio is an artist with an innate passion for art in all its forms. Born in Toronto, Canada, she developed a particular sensitivity from childhood towards the colours, shapes and emotions that art conveys. In 2014, after foot surgery, she discovered watercolour painting during her convalescence, following tutorials and experimenting with the technique. However, her full-time work in telecommunications forced her to put this passion on hold, and it remained in a drawer until now. She worked in the fashion world with Gucci, honing her aesthetic sense and her use of colour. Cooking, too, is an art form for her: she loves to combine flavours, aromas and colours in both traditional Italian dishes and international ones. A keen music lover, she has undertaken singing studies to further enrich her artistic background.
In recent years she has returned to painting, attending the association “Realise Art Studi” and exploring oil painting, before continuing independently with acrylics. This technique allows her to express freely the nuances and colour blends she loves so much, favouring warm and intense hues such as green and yellow. She loves Van Gogh and Botero, but maintains a personal and original style. Her paintings feature landscapes, portraits and abstract compositions, all united by her passion for colour and her pursuit of visual harmony. After years of work experience and travel, Francesca today continues to follow her artistic path with ever-greater determination.
