Biography
Ettore Ciocca has always had an interest in painting, but for many years the time he could devote to it was limited by his work as a surveyor (geometra) and by personal and family commitments. During the pandemic, together with his wife, he decided to rediscover the pleasure of painting, finding in the brush a new way of expressing himself. From that moment on, he has continued to nurture his passion in his free time.
Painting also helped him overcome a difficult period following a serious accident. He favours the use of bright colours and vivid contrasts, often drawing inspiration from photographs that strike him and reinterpreting them through his own style. His subjects range from nature to animals, such as the sea and horses, which are symbols of freedom. He has also painted some architecture from the city of Anagni, such as the Arcazzi. For his works he mainly uses paper and card, working with both oil painting and watercolour, a technique he values for its lightness and versatility.
