My name is Valentina. I won't say how old I am, but I'm still young. I am a daughter, a mum and a wife who is perpetually lost in her own thoughts, though sometimes this helps. I love daydreaming about almost everything, and I often struggle to separate reality from my thoughts, which sometimes works in my favour too. Despite my dreamy nature, I have always had a critical and pragmatic side that brings me back down to earth when it's needed (becoming a mum and marrying a surveyor as precise as a Swiss watch have probably helped me a great deal). I am in constant artistic research and I love experimenting with new techniques. I favour full, vivid colours and strong contrasts, because I think they best describe my personality and my moods. I work mostly on canvases of medium and large sizes, using brushes, palette knives and, at times, my bare hands, which is more fun and more satisfying. I believe that art is the finest tool one can have for expressing who one is. Each of us holds different colours within, and we simply need to find the right combinations and contrasts to appreciate them.
