Biography
"Sic itur ad astra", a quotation from Book IX of Virgil's *Aeneid* (line 641), sums up my artistic journey. Its meaning is: "in this way, or thus, one climbs to the stars." In keeping with this, I paint predominantly skies, from dusk to dawn. The stars represent an element that is at once fundamental, radiant and immediate, as they embody a sense of lofty beauty, allure and solemnity.
