Biography
The painter Raffaella Carboni was born in San Benedetto del Tronto in 1986. She works as a graphic designer and lives in Cupra Marittima. She trained at the Università del design di Pescara and later felt the need to express her own self through painting. Raffaella Carboni's artistic research, based from the outset on an abstract language, has led to a coherent and accomplished informal material language, which the painter interprets in a distinctive, original form. For Raffaella Carboni, the work is a space in which to give shape to what her unconscious communicates to her, making it visible and tangible. This submerged world comes to life through the sign, the colour and the material used by the artist. Stylistically, all of this is expressed in an apparently cold informal style, tending towards monochrome in grey tones. Yet on these surfaces the artist's instinct comes alive, becoming thought and turning into structure, in a balanced interplay of fades, glimmers and liquid textures. Raffaella Carboni took part in the exhibition Codici d'Arte, organised by Divulgarti Group in Genoa, in December 2020. In May 2021 she will be present at the Paris Artexpo award in Paris. She also featured in the November–December 2020 issue of the magazine ArtNow.
