Biography
Annarita Taddei has nurtured her creativity since childhood, in a family where drawing was a daily presence: her father loved to doodle, and her uncle, a local painter, produced canvases that she watched with wonder. After thirty years in commerce as front-office manager at a Fiat dealership, when she began spending more time at home, she rediscovered her artistic vocation. She started painting to fill her free time and give room to her imagination. Today she creates paintings and three-dimensional works, favouring reclaimed materials, insulating materials, spices, old paint tubes, sponges, paper, charcoal, acrylic filler and anything that might have a second life. She has no fixed style: she follows her instinct, moves through phases, takes things apart and rebuilds them. She likes to start from the background, layer, and change course as she paints, seeking soft balances and colour transitions. Reuse becomes a visual language and an ethical message: giving new life to what would otherwise be discarded. She has no fixed style but lets herself be guided by instinct and the emotions of the moment, moving from figurative to abstract, from the textured to the decorative, and this is precisely her strength. Her works give rise to surprise, colour and an invitation to look at forgotten objects with fresh eyes. Among her works are textured volcanoes, chromatic still lifes, figures against vibrant backgrounds, textured "mele" born from household materials, and pieces that have attracted the interest of an international audience through social media, from the United States to Germany. Taddei believes in the value of reclamation: giving life back to things is her artistic message. She does not like copies and does not work to commission; every painting is a unique and unrepeatable encounter, guided by the moment and by creative freedom. Today she approaches the art world with the same passion with which she has faced every change in her life: with care, curiosity and the desire to leave a sincere emotion in those who look at her works.
