Indeed, we can already see how the composition is highly evocative, based on a scenic framing: the worker is in the foreground, illuminated by a sharp light, while the dim light in the background is pierced by the open door on which the second figure is leaning. Formally, as in all of Verdirosi's works, the drawing is very fluid and technically perfect, delineating the subjects in exquisite detail. His works are held in collections throughout Europe, as well as in the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
