Consequently, Surrealist artworks propose the representation of a dreamlike dimension, completely dissociated from reality. However, this representation often relies on a hyperrealistic formal rendering, precisely to paradoxically accentuate the illusory and ambiguous nature of the surreal dimension.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eOne of the prints is a perfect example of Salvador Dalí's artistic language. This begins with the space created by the artist, constructed on the ostentatious and illusory perspective of what could be a desolate land or a stage. In the foreground, an emblematic figure stands out, with its exaggerated plasticity, the soft consistency of its body, and its excessive and impossible deformations. The other two prints are extremely interesting because they allow us to appreciate an unusual side of Dalí: a Dalí who focuses all his expressive potential on color and rapidly synthesizes forms with a few rapid strokes. Yet even in this different context, we can see themes dear to the Catalan painter. In particular, the figures, with their loose draperies, recall a reference to ancient art that is typical of the great Surrealist.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eSalvador Dalí (Figueres 1904-1989). A major representative of historical Surrealism, he was a photographer, writer, and filmmaker (his collaboration with Luis Buñuel is famous) as well as a painter. His works are based on the principles of psychoanalytic associationism, following the teachings of André Breton. His style is characterized by a turgid, harsh hyperrealism, in which his subjects display an obsessive attention to detail.
