They have three layers of animal glue mixed with acrylic gesso (a process also used by the greatest painters), which helps the paint adhere and maintain the colors and substances applied over them. The canvases depict the moment before Christ was revealed to the Jewish people, with Pontius Pilate standing behind him. Pilate, as portrayed in the Scriptures, is so doubtful that he looks at Christ with mystery and almost as if he were a small shred of \"pity\" (this is only more visible up close). In front, a larger-scale follower places the cloth over Christ's head and then removes it before being revealed. Christ is girded with two cloths, one pink\/dark red, symbolizing torment, and one white, symbolizing Purity. Since it is a \"Sacred Subject,\" we find precise numbers and facts, such as the number three, like the Light, which comes from above and falls virtuously on Christ, illuminating him, the arm of the follower in front, and, just behind Christ, the left background of the canvas. Then there are colonnades and wooden panels, and finally, a column with a Latin inscription that, translated, explains the scene and his sin. The canvases, assembled together and finished with additional layers of wood placed behind as a frame, are in excellent condition, with no breaks or separations, ideal for a living room or a large or medium-sized space. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe original price, as per the written estimate, exceeds €2,000, but since we're just starting out, I'll gladly reduce that amount.
