The object, composed of overlapping posters, is reconfigured by the artist through the act of tearing. This practice simply introduces the accidental nature of reality directly and suddenly into the artwork, giving it a new meaning. The tears, which mimic the ravages of time or weather on the posters, shift the work from an abstract dimension to the concrete dimension of existence.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e Mimmo Rotella (Catanzaro 1918-Milan 2006) was an artist deeply engaged in experimenting with new artistic languages ​​in the second half of the 20th century. After some experiments with phonetic poetry, he created his first décollages in 1954.
