This attraction is translated into images by the painter, basing her compositions on a search for harmony. Thus, the painting's surface becomes a balanced field of color divided by rational, almost geometric principles. A science and mathematics teacher, she approached painting as a self-taught artist, achieving remarkable technique, especially in portraiture (she even painted a portrait for Rita Levi Montalcini). Much of her work focuses on the nautilus, the spiral shell that inspired the classical golden ratio.
