Bocchetti's brushwork imbues his subjects with intense existential vibrations. He participated in numerous exhibitions both in Italy and abroad. In 1920 he participated in the Venice Biennale, in 1921 in the Rome Quadrennial, and in 1923 and subsequent years, in the Naples National Biennale. In Italy he also painted frescoes in several churches.
