But the principal iconographic attribute of Saint John of Nepomuk, which we also find in this work, is the halo with the five stars that appeared when he suffered martyrdom by drowning.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eThe composition focuses entirely on the figure of the saint, which occupies a large portion of the canvas. The execution primarily reflects the pursuit of naturalism typical of the 17th century. The saint's torso twists freely and naturally, accompanied by the voluminous folds of his robe, which impart a rotating motion to the work. The artist has paid particular attention to the rendering of the hands, which are somewhat elongated, and the facial features.
