angelo-brescianini-19-spari-pistola-cal-45
Angelo Brescianini - 19 shots fired from a .45 pistol

The artistic experience of Angelo Brescianini (Palazzolo sull'Oglio, 1948) began in the late 1960s, when in 1968 he participated in the Padua Biennale with a typically informal work.
In the 1970s, the artist's tireless research led him to abandon canvas and paint to devote himself to sculpture. These are abstract wooden sculptures, which from the mid-1980s onward were equipped with mechanisms that expanded the expressive possibilities of form: these are kinetic works of art, where movement becomes a fundamental element. The transition from static to dynamic sculptures was driven by the need to create works that communicate differently with each new viewer.
A further evolution of this type of creation occurred in 1994-95 when the devices that confer movement were no longer activated by the observer: the work was endowed with its own motion, almost as if it were coming to life.
In 2001, Brescianini began experimenting with new production techniques, which led to the creation of the “Espansioni” series, consisting of squares created by shooting at the surfaces of the support.
The artist, in fact, is obsessed with speed, but he doesn't want to "represent"; rather, he wants to create works in one go, almost immediately. The goal is to create works that emerge as quickly as the idea comes to his creative mind. The solution to this problem is found in the immediacy with which a bullet hits its target.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0909/7065/3058/files/Brescianini-19-spari-cal.-45-2014-inox-cm-125x125.jpg?v=1768389948
