It consists of compositions of inanimate subjects, most often flowers or fruit. While initially it was an opportunity for painters to attempt a photographic reproduction of reality, with contemporary art the "Still Life" also becomes a way of interpreting reality, as it did for the Cubists or Giorgio Morandi.

The style of painter Achille Pecoraro is essentially figurative, aiming to reproduce reality in every aspect and detail. It can therefore be broadly defined as hyperrealist, due to its desire to depict the perceptible world objectively. However, Achille Pecoraro makes a sort of compromise between reality and his poetics. Thus, as we can see in this work, the subjects are immersed in a subtle atmosphere that seems to corrode their forms. In this way, thanks to the artist's extraordinary pictorial technique, the paintings remain suspended in a sort of metaphysical limbo between hyperrealist illusionism and existential lyricism, in a timeless dimension that is that of memory.

Achille Pecoraro is originally from Gela, but settled in Genoa, in the hamlet of Borzoli.
